I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to do my next manifold. I already have some 1.5 inch pipe and I've cut several angles on it already for some whitey bends, here's my basic idea, I want to put the compressor inlet at the front of the car because I'm just gangsta like that and I have no front mount and I have a half radiator so there's just a hole in my front bumper doing nothing for me right below where the turbo sits now. here it is:

I'm going to have 3 2-1 collectors because they are easier than 1 4-1 collector since I don't have any way to hold the pipe at a perfect 90 when I make the 2 different cuts. now that I'm thinking about it the pipes are getting too small toward the turbo, and the final pipe going into the turbo will be way smaller than the opening in the flange. I might try some trickery to get the 4-1 collector to work for me, I'll let you know how it goes.

what size tube are you going to use? What is this gonna be used on and with what turbo?

I ordered one too, makes things so much easier especially for that price.

Looks like it's going to be a bit restrictive if the collector is a 1.5" pipe. The design is cool though.

the car runs assholes, it just doesn't run all that well. I used super geometry skillz to mark my pipes at 90s, so I'm going to attempt my own collector, we'll see how it goes. and yes, the pipes will be sealed, they look like ass right there because my rhino3d skillz aren't what they were 2.5 years ago when I took that class.

I wanted to do 3 2-1 collectors, but unless I start making them collect into bigger pipe it will be too small and the pipe attaching to the flange will be too tiny, so I'm going to try making my own 4-1 collector, if that doesn't work I'm going to try 3 2-1 collectors, and if I fail at that I'll just buy a collector from vtecnlude.

hey retardo, I'm not trying to make my car run correctly with the manifold, I'm trying to have a manifold that doesn't leak and have the compressor inlet face the front of the car because that's mad jdm type r sicc.

kinda, but your manifold had weld els, mine won't, and your ic got in the way of the front facingness of the turbo, mine won't. so what's the status of your cross member project? do your PMs work? last time I tried to send you one I got an error message.

everyone gets an error message when they pm me but I usually get them (I think :-\) My turbo is off to the side and the chargepipes are curved so it kinda has the front facing effect. When you look at the front of the car you can see the compressor next to the intercooler

why dont u guys use 2 inch pipe

I bought 10 ft of 1.5 pipe for 22 united states of freedom dollars.

and 2 inch pipe has no love for honda exhaust ports, it doesn't fit the flange.

---- that ----, I tried doing the 4-1 collector today and it was really shitty. the 90s I marked on the pipes weren't exact, that gave me ----, the pipe kept rotating when I was cutting it, when I did cut it it was way off because the lines weren't right and the pipe rotated while I was cutting it so I ended up just guessing where to cut all of them and it turned out like complete ----. so whenever I decide to order my flanges and put this thing together I'll pm you vtecnlude.

for 2 inch pipe u need a torch and a hammer

u gotta heat up the pipe where the bolts are and nockem a bit inwards
