Default npr intercooler

i was just looking around in the u pull u save salvage yard today on my lunch break and i ran across 2 isuzu npr intercoolers(the big ones in perfect condition). i was thinkin about getting one and cutting it too fit my 99si and make some tapered in/outlets for 2.25 piping at work. they are still on the trucks and have been there for 4-5 months he said so i dont think they're goin anytime soon. if i pull it, it will be $75 for it. do you guys think its worth it. i have a starion 16 row thats modified still in my closet in good condition. before i measure for ic piping, i would like you guys imput on this one. thanx

OT: I think they sell pretty high on ebay if you wanted to sell the other one and make a little bling..

They start for $100 on ebay I've seen. Honestly what I'd do is get them. Cut them in half, have end tanks made, and sell those ***** on ebay as custom intercoolers. Get ya some bling, and a new IC at the same time.

Well if your in no rush then its probably going to flow better to go NPR. But thats a little more lag, and probably overkill. Depends on your setup but for less than 10psi I think the starion would be fine performance wise. But the npr would look cool.

thanx man, you say stay with the starion for under 10lbs but wouldnt you think the npr will still cool better. i like the tube design in the npr core and the thick tubes. btw i bought both of them today. do you think it will fit or do you think i should cut a couple of inches. the core is 14" high. what the tallest i can go . let me stop here for now. thanx for the imput. keep it comin.
