Default Is this normal?

I recently bought a AiResearch turbo that came off a Volvo.

Condition: There is very minimal up and down shaft movement, there is no horizontal shaft movement, the fins spins freely and are not touching the housing and the fins are in very good shape.

I noticed that whenever I hold the turbo so that the compressor side is facing downwards, oil drips out of the hose that is connected to the wastegate actuator and the compressor housing. Is this normal?

yeah, if you can spring for a rebuild kit now, its way better doing it when you have to take off the car.

Thank you. I feel a bit relieved that it might be normal for the turbo and not a sign of some major damage. I will buy a repair kit and do some repairs.

Thank you. Do you know where I can get a repair kit for a good price?
