You obviously havent been reading.

Now when I see people with FMU I laugh and think how easy it is for a chipped computer and programmed tune.

Get a fmu so I can laugh at you too.

^ though, to properally tune your self you have to get
ecu chiped $100
laptop $50-100
burner $50
WBO2 $300
romulator $150

to my calculations $650-700. good investment, but compared to $140 for a walbro and fmu to get it running then save up for this ----.

To tune yourself you don't need all that crap:

Willem burner - $40-50 on ebay with chip (I'm pretty sure, bought mine a while ago)
Wideband - ~200
PC - you should already have this
Chipped ECU - depends on what you find

Don't need a laptop or romulator, and xenocron has widebands for $200

If you run an FMU, Joseph Davis will come to your house and fist your mother. Seriously.

Nah, only if you run a AFC hack he'll fist your mother. But since an FMU is even worse, who knows what he'll do
