Default noob 50 trim question

i have search like a crackhead with no money and well i cant find out if there was a factory t3 50tirm car or if it is a custom t3/t4. If so any chance it is a diy project? Any opinions on the nissan 60 trim in a d16y8, i am thinking about ditching my 14b for my install

Well i've searcher like a crackhead too, the last couple days and the ideal turbo for a stock D is T3 .60/.48 A/R or .48/.60 (same thing) but those are hard to find for a good price. Also T3 .60/.63 A/R is the next best thing. If you want something with really quick spool get t3 .42/.48 but you'll loose some top end.

60/63 is slow spooling but has assloads of power once it does, i'd almost loose my steering wheel when it finaly kicked in, i liked it but it was to slow to build boost for my taste, im running a 42/48 right now, i have full boost by about 3000-3500 and power upto about 5.5K then it starts to putter off

i myself am going to look for a 57 trim and call it a day unless i dont like it after i finish building my motor

so your one of those morons you miss-informs noobs, please dont act like you have any idea what your talking about. a 60/48 and a 48/60 are two completely different turbo's. and you cant say that one turbo is best for a stock d-series, a y8 and a d15b2 will not operate the same with a 60/63 on them ..

ok i have a 14b from a first gen talon and I can get a tbird t3 60trim that needs rebuilding for 180 bucks, i was going with the 14b but decided i should just egay it and look for something a lil bigger if i was going to upgrade it anyway. in fact thats why i got the tchicken t3 but i found out that has oil leaks and boost doesnt kick in unitll 5K, on a stock d16y8 thats a long time.

I can get trubos relatively easily as junk yards around here sell them for under a hundred bucks and i am always looking new cars at the yard, what will be the ideal trubo for a relatively low lag and good top end on a stock d series. I will get internals later but it will run stock till next fall

i thought about that but money wise i think thats a bad idea to pay for an adaper plate now, and oil lines instead of doing the diy mini ram and sticking with a turbo....

so back to my origianl qustion did a 50 trim t3 ever come stock on a car? or is is only a custom turbo, i only found the bb t3/t4 hybrids and this article http://wwwrsphysse.anu.edu.au/~amh110/turbo_page.htm where the guy implies it came on a volvo,

for anyone looking this up i found this very intersting
