Alright, I don't have an intercooler on my setup.. tried to install a DSM SMIC last night, but it wouldnt fit where I was going to put it :\

I don't have enough room in the front bumper really without removing a bunch of crap(4g prelude)

Only at 5 psi right now and its pretty quick as is, but what should I do? Should I just go water injection and that be that? or should I try to fit an intercooler later down the road?

 

Make one fit.

 

 

at the risk of being unpopular, water/alcohol injection has the potential to be more efficient than an a/a IC and can be easier to package. just have to have a large enough tank... or be willing to refill it often.

 

you dont need no stinkin ic . haha i ran without one and it was fine. plenty of people have run without one and their doing okay. why not just get a jrc or one of the cca's going for 130

 

Yea I might just do that.. I am also looking at used Air/Water IC's because of the insanely small cores, which I would be able to fit in my passenger side fender, and it would be damn efficient...

I don't really want to cut up my bumper, and until you see a 4g prelude front bumper then you don't know whats all there lol.. there is a PS cooler and other crap and then no place to route IC piping(OEM fogs, not removing b/c they are rare as ---- anyways)..

so its either W/I or Air/Water IC it seems(maybe both! lol)...

 

why not put the side mount in the fender

 

I tried, didnt fit, even after I cut off all the mounts/brackets/excess piping on the DSM SMIC.. no possible way to fit it no matter the angle.. argh.

 

owch, that sucks. good luck. i'm going fmic on my 97 accord because no room for smic either...

 

I ran 10 psi with a front mount pipe.
Thats better than nothing.
