Default No Intercooler

Ok, I'm right in the middle of a budget build on my Del Sol but I've hit a little road block. Long story short I need to know if I will be alright running my setup without an intercooler. The car will be pushing 7-10 psi. I'm planning on adding an intercooler soon but was hoping my setup would be fine without an intercooler for awhile. Where the turbo is placed it seems like it will get a good amount of air to cool it down.

Setup:
Stock D16Z6
DSM T25 Turbo
Hf Manifold
DSM Injectors
Walbro Fuel Pump
Turbo XS RFL bov

its not about the air going into it it is about the air coming out of it. when the air gets compressed it heats up cuasing detonation....try it and let us know what happens

Are you serious.

What the ---- are you blathering about? No ---- the air gets hot when it gets compressed, that's why I told him to get a SMIC.

It's not like it's magically not going to work, it's just going to be running on the ragged edge, for no reason mind you, just because this ****** is too cheap for a junkyard IC.

i wasnt refferring to what you said i was letting the dude know the point of an intercooler since he obviously does not know(or else he would not ask about not running one) and i said let us know beucase he wants to boost 10psi on a stock z6(probably with high milage) in the middle of summer with no intercooler. and he was talking about the turbo getting air to cool it down thats why i informed him that it doent matter about the inlet temp

I have an SRT-4 FMIC which we haven't been able to fit without major modification. It's not about being too ------- cheap its about getting my car on the road to get to work so I can make money and in turn buy another intercooler. I'm sorry I don't have money growing out of my ***.

too bad you can't buy an intercooler with penises. LOOOLLL.

anyways. yeah - it'll work. You'll have to retard ignition timing, run especially colder plugs and run rich for safety...or just man up and put an intercooler on the thing and not have to worry about blowing ---- up half as much.

If you just gotta get to work, drive it with no intercooler. Just drive it easy, don't boost hard. In other words, no fast and the furious.
