no bov noise
 

kind of a gay question but why is it that some cars will rev it up and they'll make boost and you can hear the bov .. my cousin's makes no bov sound or no boost when reving it up .. just curious as to why it does this ??? only high boost will do it maybe .. he is pushing 8lbs on a .48/.49 i read alot of people say that its becouse no strain on the motor .. but why do some cars do it and others dont ... Thanks

it because there isn't a load on the engine but with a small turbo some are able to build boost in nuetral. if you really want the sound when not moving. use the ebrake and put a load on the engine

reson im asking because my friend has an 9-3 Saab A/T. it makes a really nice sound when he lets off the gas when driving but when its stationary it makes a very gay sound that noone can hear.

The reason why his saab does not make a noise is because the saab's BOV does not vent into the atmosphere thus the loud sound, instead, it is recirculating the compressed air back into the compressor intake thus the almost silent "gay" sound you may hear. Saab's use a plastic Bosch "bypass" valve. Hope this clears up the confusion.

lol come on man do you think im that stupid ? ? ? i took the stupid hose off when he got the car. like i said it sound nice when he lets off the gas, but when its in park it makes that gay sound. STAY IN SCHOOL AND LEARN HOW TO READ :4

That is not good an a MAF system. When you unplug the hose, all of that air that you are releasing to atmo was monitored by the MAF, and it thinks it's going in the engine. You will run rich while doing that. Go to school to learn what you are doing before trying to make SuPa TizzIghT MofoCKin PSHhhhSHHhhh sounds.
