no bov noise
kind of a gay question but why is it that some cars will rev it up and they'll make boost and you can hear the bov .. my cousin's makes no bov sound or no boost when reving it up .. just curious as to why it does this only high boost will do it maybe .. he is pushing 8lbs on a .48/.49 i read alot of people say that its becouse no strain on the motor .. but why do some cars do it and others dont ... Thanks

Re: no bov noise
The reason why his saab does not make a noise is because the saab's BOV does not vent into the atmosphere thus the loud sound, instead, it is recirculating the compressed air back into the compressor intake thus the almost silent "gay" sound you may hear. Saab's use a plastic Bosch "bypass" valve. Hope this clears up the confusion.
