it has to be a really bad exhaust leak if it wont spool the turbo, were talking more than a 50% leak before you would notice something. Ive built several setups and lots of them have leaked.. leaked bad and still have spooled fine. Your problem is elsewhere, check charge pipes, disscounnted the wastegate actuator an go drive it, the ****** should spool like crazy. (becarful when doing this, you can easily blow the engine) As far as the engine only running on 3cylinders, it still should spool on 3cylinders too, I highly doubt you have an injector problem. Alll the injectors get power off the same circuit, and are driven by ground signals from the ecu. Highly unlikly you just lost 1 signal.

Your problem is right in front of you, just look closer.

But he used two testers to test them. One looks like a thermometer, and he said wow, #4 is wacked out. So he unplugged the injector and the idle/sound/performance did not change AT ALL. Then he put this little light into the injector clip and it did not light up like its supposed to if it has power. The guy that wired the injectors used butt clips, and they thought one was unplugged.

Also, running on 3 cyl because I had no fuel to it would make it seem that I am running really lean (via my wideband), because one cyl is just pumping air. This is the case, my idle on the hack is set to -29, and runs to -13 at 7500. And my AFR is around 13:1.

The exhaust leak is minimal, so I agree, thats not the problem. Neither is the filter, I took that off, no go.

I tried undoing the wastegate, no spool. I bet its the injector.

That little light is called a "noid light" it's to test injector pulses, I can go out right now and unplug an injector in my car and it will still boost just fine, ya it will be sluggish, but it will still spool.

Obviously this is a big problem, and I would definatly get that fixed first before anything. I'm assuming you rewired your injectors or did some type of wiring like a dpfi to mpfi swap?

damn this sure did get deep all of a sudden.. I kinda thought it was more then just obvious visual exhaust problems. What is your compression reading at man?

I wouldnt worry about compression until you made sure all your cylinders were firing first. If you have 1 cylinder that hasnt been firing for awhile its going to show a low reading, so figure out why you are either loosing ground/power at your injector.

Compression was 190 before I swapped turbos, the injector was messed up then also.

Yes, I had them rewired, DSM 450s with the stock resistor box, for the hack.

Just trying to figure another way that the motor could be robbed out of the power it needs to efficiently spool.. usually a safe thing to test but I see your point on correcting the problem and running the car normal first - then test

I checked the wiring and found a butt connecter that was undone, so I fixed that, then started it up and it was the same. I pulled the spark plug wire on cyl 4 and it didnt effect anything, so its definitely still messed up. All the other connectors look good, so I dunno.

is it even getting spark? Can you taste the fuel from the cylinder if you have your spark plug out and turning the motor over? Need to determine what is weak here.. sounds like a pain in the *** already

It has spark, you can hear it with the wire out.

The injector itself is not getting power, or has a bad ground. I cant see where though.
