ghetto rigged nitrous... LOL get your mom to send in pics after you kill yourself.
Don't forget, you need a pick up tube going to the bottom of the bottle.. You want to pick up liquid, not gas. And don't just mount a bottle upside down, you'll probably freeze the valve open. Second thought, don't worry about the pics, I'll see you explode from here. |

The fire ext. thing works...
Poor Maxima above was blown up by a retard that "hard wired" his bottle heater ( another words, it NEVER turns off, 24hours a day !! ). And yes for some reason he tampered with the presure releif too ::). All modern nitrous bottles would have just left him with an emty bottle and a dead battery.... I love to here people say " man, back in 89' my buddy had nitrous on his 5.0 and it blew the welds on the intake and the manifold went right through his hood !!!"... Old nitrous systems were much more dangerous ( IE like the fire ext. are friend is about to install ) and were VERY unreliable !!! 9 bottles of zex 75 shot on a bone stock 155K mile D15b2 and never even burnt as much as a starter or altinator !!! Now after 50 head aches, and lots of work, and bleeding hands, I have a HMT... Would I go back to nitrous ? NO... Is it b/c it was unreliable ? NO... Its b/c $30 for a little fun gets old REAL fast.... I boost my car everyday... Its fast everyday... and b/c I'm ghetto I work on it almost everyday ( at least I'm honest )... Thinking about a 35 wet shot for the dyno at Nopi this year though... It'll never see that drag strip, just the dyno... 13psi with wrx turbo and a 35shot should get me close to 300whp with open exhuast and race gas... OR closer to the tow truck home.... |
