so far, the intercooler and piping, mani, turbo, d/p, and oil return are all mounted. NONE of the cheap ---- fit properly. the oil feed/return are too close to the housings making screwing on the line fitting nearly impossible. b/c of the way the turbo sits on the mani, the charge piping no longer fits properly, and the new aluminum radiator wont even come close to fitting. tommorow, since none of us weld, nor do we have a welder, we will be trying to use a torch to bend the d/p and the intercooler piping to make it fit better. going to have to cut some of the support material of the hood to fit the wastegate. the intercooler and cool side piping/bov was the only part that really fit properly. this is pretty much what i expected from a setup for under $1000

Sell the Chinaman garbage and start fresh. Maybe not with top dollar ----, but a T3 will make better and more relaiable power than that hunk of ---- you want to run. I have a couple T3's I could sell if you'd like. I say keep the piping, the manifold, the wastegate, the bov, and the fmic and get better tuning/fuel support and a true Garrett turbo. It bolts on the same so you won't have to pull your manny back off.

Your car will make way better power with a chip/program and a good fuel pump and injectors. IMO you're not going to make any good power with the turbo you have. Hell, a .42/.48 can be had for $100 or so or a .63/.60 (great turbo for your set-up) can be had for around $150 used to $350 rebuilt to new again. I'm flush with T3's right now, so holler at me if you're tired of ------- around with CDM nonsense. Good luck with your build though man; boost is fun!

figured id post installed pics. i finally got everything to fit well, and it to run ok. on that note, a big thanx to ratcityrex and kamilk69 for helping and not just pwning. anyway -- it may be cdm garbage to the world of hmt(a fact which i already knew b4 joining), but bottom line: the ****** is boosted. the build was cheap. its fast as ---- and i havent even floored it yet. i cant wait to get it tuned!! ill install the fmu tomorrow just so i can drive the ---- around and whatnot

the gauges

i still need to have the local speed shop plumb the w/g dump into the dp, and weld on the o2 bung. i know the snail isnt going to last long. as i said earlier in the post, by the time it *****, ill have a new one. if anyone reading this can help with pointing me in the right direction for a used t3/t4 that would be tight. ill update after a dyno sesh

Pretty rough lookin teg for the type of homes that are in the background. You don't even have a damned hood

And wait. It's "fast as ----" and you haven't even installed the FMU yet? Stab yourself in the neck fool, you should remove yourself from the gene pool asap.

Also, I can't believe you consider this to be such a cheap build and still spent $1k. Look at the OG HMT setups then come back, kiddo. Some of those guys didn't even break the $300 mark...

They really put this pointless turbo on everything.... stage 3 .63 a/r turbine that will lag forever, coupled to the smallest of all t04e compressors.

Oh, and try to close your hood now.....

a fmu would only be good in getting 1600cc injectors to idle on a ls or something, set the rail at 20psi, and tune the fmu for 60psi at max boost or something
