when you buy used kits its pretty easy to misplace or even forget about such a small piece like that.

 

wastegate was already mounted to the mani, when I bought it. Haven't touched it.

 

I would pull it off and make sure its got the fire ring in it.

 

The rat beat me to it. If the ring is there, put it back on and do a boost leak test.

 

I believe the car will boost now but I can't really try it. I have a chipped p28 ecu with hondata s200 and when I plug it in my car runs like *** and smokes like a freight train. It won't rev above a certain rpm. I heard that the p28 will run in limp mode with a non-vtec cause of the missing vtec solenoid and oil pressure from that. Is this true? I am running on my stock p06 but I can't go into boost right now.

 

Diasble vtec in the ecu. It won't make a difference it will just throw a couple cel's but probably won't go into limp mode. Mine didn't when I drove like that.

 

How do I disable vtec in the ecu? through romeditor?

 

yes through the rom editor, and no that wouldn't cause limp mode. it could've caused limp mode if your map sensor read boost and your program was bad (such as bad burn/chip/ecu).

 

I didn't install the missing link yet, could that be it?

 

If it's not making boost that's not the problem.
