3050 lbs is about right for the v6 model. i think the 350 version was 3350 lbs. i was comparing its weight to modern sports compact cars. they didnt start using aluminum frequently for another decade after this car was made. i stripped the interior on my 90 i had to clean it because it was nasty. i figured i would weigh it just to see. i was amazed at the almost 500 lbs of carpet, padding, and seat weight.....

since its going to the track are you going to give it a diet?

im actually looking for the 305 rs tbi since there easy to find with a manual trans and cheaper. i was going to convert it to tpi anyway. tpi can be purchased used with ecm for a few hundred bucks.

Yea my cars on a diet already. It was 3260 back when i started racing. So I did loose some weight, but my car had every option a V6 could have.

My cars stil a car to drive down the street, so ill never gut it or anything like that, i just eliminated either things ill never use or things that were not working(suck as the whole a/c syctem)

Not sure who looks at this thread but heres the first pass I made with my turbo kit! Not bad and I got some slicks to toss on now. So without a passenger and slicks on I may hit 13's with just 10psi of boost!!

Thats a 350 GT/A I beat!!!

14.37@97mph.. but the 60ft time was a horrible 2.20sec

That sounds good. It's impressive what the little Chevy 60° engine can do with a little boost.
