New problem - No BOV sound upon activation, vac problem?
So I tried disconnecting and plugging the vac lines from the wastegate to see if I could find the problem with the no BOV discharge. The BOV opens when I let off the gas but doesnt make a sound at all. Now its a TurboXS RFL so I expected it to make some sort of discharge sound. Any ideas on that from anybody? I just double checked all my charge pipes and they are all snug and tight. Could it be that the vac source is weak? I have a couple things running from the same vac source, the one that the fpr uses. Could that be the problem? The BOV didn't open a whole lot but just a little, maybe 1/3 of the opening thru the horn where I could see it.
Are you trying this by just revving your motor trying to be like F&F or with a load from driving the car?
Soung like it becuase you get a lot more vac when you let off the gas after a load then when chucking revs front idle.
Also if it is not opening all the way try lightening up the load on the spring.

I just tested this by turning the car on and goind under the hood and pulling on the throttle cable so there was no load. I'll give it a road test in the morning but right now I'll try taking the cap off and seeing of theres a shitload of washers up in there. Thanks for the ideas! Mental high-five to all of you so far
my BOV discharges while revving and makes a few extra wierd sounding noises.
after the main discharge it goes wa wa waaa in three different tones. lol. It's a Type-S.
