and yeah just prop up a wastegate where it would

That crap is so typical of your workmanship. Clean installs, beautiful buttery welds, big turbos, bling designs... *yawn* Why can't you turn out anything interesting?

lol

WEll unless I can get your ---- clean I am about to have a blobby intercooler coming your way.. I'm gonna try to hose that thing down with some brake clean and see if it will get the oil and grime off it so I can get a decent weld from it.

You say the sweetest things to me... I know they make a nice aluminum surface prep chemical, it was pink and smelled wierd is all I remember. Might call the welding shop? I dunno. I know a guy who was having a lot better luck using it with some old broken bicycle frames he was practicing with, some of which were a little greasy.

The wastegates usually get ported off the collector, the GS-R one I'd guess goes off toward the side since it's a wide radiator friendly install.

And it's not Full-Race style. That design has been floating around for a number of years now. Todd (Ford guy) showed me the old Kooks (big in the Ford aftermarket) style manifolds back in the day after a discussion of the 2.3T on the jyturbo@yahoogroups.com mailing list. September 2001, before Geoff of Full-Race made his first manifold of this design, I was in Todd's garage duct taping mild steel schedule 40 els together into that configuration. It's a real easy answer to fitting a tubular manifold in an small area, lots of people come to that conclusion on more than just Hondas.
