i know its not much to look at on the outside but on the inside i have swapped a 1.8l BP engine and fabricated my own turbo set up. i used the stock header manifold and cut it up to make my turbo manifold. i used a piece of 3/16" plate and a hole saw to make the turbo flange. im using an evo3 big 16G turbo. i removed the wastegate puck inside the turbine housing and bored out the hole so i could have a tial 38mm wastegate mounted to the down pipe. im street tuned on megasquirt 1v3.0 at 14psi of boost. im running 1000cc ev14 injectors. best 1/4 mile run so far is a 12.6@111mph on street tires and a 2.1 60'

its a blast on the freeways... 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are useless burn out gears at wot. ill try to get video of it lighting up the tires at 70mph. not bad for a daily driver...

 

Yea i like it man, my cars like that too, i just got the turbo on it a few weeks ago. 1st gears worthless but in second gear its like a rocket. Its a auto v6 1991 camaro. Im aiming at 13's in the quarter mile come spring.

hey man, i have seen you at sac raceway. i love your car! always cracks me up, and the crowds reaction is priceless. i have gone over to check it out a few times when i saw it in the staging lanes with the hood open. i think that fastest i saw it go was 12.9, but i havent been up there in a while!

 

yea...its a battle for traction... cant go full throttle til mid 3rd if i want the tires to stick.

 

Yea that things a rocket at higher gears as my 60' times on my car was in the 2.2 area when it was running mid 16's in its N/A form. Your picking up 20mph in between the 1/8 and 1/4..thats impressive!

I love the auto gears on my camaro, 1st is worthless but 2 and 3rd is amazing.

Thats a fast time man, im just hoping for a 14 or 13 second pass myself. Then ill be happy.
