New guy w/ sick car!
hey everyone, the names harry. im working on my new project its a 1991 eclipse gsx model with the big turbo. when i bought it, it was already pretty fast, and it came with around 200rwhp stock. but, much has changed, so far i already added a cold-air intake, lowered the car ( blitz style body kit ). got a full exhaust, bumped up the timing, and did some tuning, couldnt find a dyno around here so just plugged it into my firends computer and changed up the compression and changed the air/fuel maps. i also removed the rev limiter, so it can go up to like 8500 no prob. ( he said that should be alright on stock internals as long as it doesnt go much above 400rwhp.
but my question is, other then the mods listed my goal is around 500hp. i think im making maybe 350hp after all the work iv done to it. what do u guys think?! |

oooo, mmmm, yeahhhhh, listen, i'm going to need you to, ummm, return your streamline stapler, and uhh, yeah, move your desk to the basement....
you should probably do a little research around hmt because you can really learn a lot simply from reading the post of the said 'flambos'. If you notice on the hmt forums main page, there is general discussion, where this post probably should have started, forced induction, hybrid/tech, engine management, and fabrication. Engine management is probably where you should start reading, as far as 'plugging laptops into cars' goes. As far as raising the compression, i don't see how it's physically possible to change your compression with out doing some physical modifications to your engine, such as milling your deck, changing your pistons and/or rods, etc. Try to learn from this website before you flame everyone. ;) kthxbye |

o sorry guys i was just talking to my motor builder again, and he said he changed up the timing, not the compression, he said i need new pistons or something like that to mess with the compression...but anyway so with all the mods i listed plus the timing real ncie...u think im making the 350rwhp or more around 300rwhp? not sure?
