Curious, what are you doing with your MAF? Are you intalling a GM 3bar or no? Otherwise, start collecting parts, and read up!

Plenty of good info on the site.

you're prices are way off. VR6s are like 1-3000 complete

With a 2.0 you wouldnt need to blow it, n/a would be crazy with a good chip, custom headers, and a decent exhaust.

Modding VeeDubs are really very expensive, i was quoted 7.5 grand for an ancient VR6 engine, and 1 grand for the install.

If you can, try and find a golf or a jetta that is a already blown (at the junkyard there are a few) then you can obtain the down pipe, turbo and the manifold for quite cheap mpt to mention an intercooler (new TDi's- jetta).

If you are going to go all out on a 2.0, why not just do a 16V headswap on the stock block, get it bore'd out and get some crazy compression, then blow it?

The real question is, is this a street machine or a race horse?

Truth is to make a really fast Veedub, you are looking at 13-20 Grand to make it a 13-11 sec car. You might aswell put you money into a honda if you are looking for cheap but fast reliability car.
