I overlayed my short rev Subaru motor onto this dyno sheet. I would win in the corners, lose on the street! Too bad I can't rev to 8000! (so far)...

Re: New Dyno. Xenocron Tuned MONSTER.

JD when we mixed in the 112 we did a pull without any changes to the map to see what would happen.

It picked up 10 hp with just the mix.

From there he did a bunch more pulls. I cant remember where we finished on 93 so I cant tell u how much power we gained from the mix.

Re: New Dyno. Xenocron Tuned MONSTER.

did you put vtec between 4000 and 4500rpm?

if yes it seems low... the low profile can probably do more power for 500~750rpm

Re: New Dyno. Xenocron Tuned MONSTER.

DO I hear break boosting at the beginning of every pull? Or is it that Open Up-pipe?

Re: New Dyno. Xenocron Tuned MONSTER.

Honda correctly ported intake manifolds sure work pretty good who would of guessed

D16Y8-Z6 02-03-2009 08:13 AM

Re: New Dyno. Xenocron Tuned MONSTER.

Vtec is at 4800. Before the 59300 we had it at 5500. The zex cam liked it a lot lower. Lots of powerband.

Last time it was 1724 w/o me in it. Its probably a little bit more now since it has a full size battery.

No break boosting, just loading the dyno up.

Chris Ive always had faith in the stock z6 im. I knew it wouldnt be a restriction.

Yeah, you guys were making some serious power on pump gas, so it's a solid bet the fuel was overheating and a bump in octane would do her right.

Goforth did 10.5-10.6's at 146-148 off of a vehicle that weighed a hundred or two more, and made ~15 whp less on average across a 500 rpm broader powerband. You've got all the power you need to embarrass 600-700 whp Honda-Tech dyno queens at the track, you just need to lay it to the ground. >:D

Re: New Dyno. Xenocron Tuned MONSTER.

Joe is going to need to worry about getting a cage...first pass at any track around here and they'll throw him out :)

135mph they are requiring a 9 second license at E-Town now I think. Might be able to get away with it at Island Dragway :)

Tom-Guy 02-03-2009 04:10 PM

Re: New Dyno. Xenocron Tuned MONSTER.

---- 9 second licenses, he needs to install a 50 shot and break 150 so they ask him where's his ------- chute. O0

Hickman's old b16a was running 10.90's we took off my 50 ---- of my zc at the track and said lets see what happens. Car ran 10.30's with no tuning same boost levels.

This bad boy with a 50 shot in 3rd/4th gear would be nuts.

Re: New Dyno. Xenocron Tuned MONSTER.

I removed the washer on the allen bolt, further compressing the relief spring and added a small washer to the spring. Roughly 1/8 inch thick. Possibly smaller.

Im gonna look into a small shot once I lay down some passes. Im a bit afraid of stopping from 145+. I dont think its possible without a chute at Island to stop from that speed.
