No. It's not the same. Yes, they make them for D-Series.

i know they make them for d series but its $300. im not paying that much for an ssautoshit manifold

i checked a d series gasket up to a b series head and the port spacing is abuot 1/4 in off

Guys, be carefull with the ebay cast manifolds AS WELL.
IMO, they're no better than the SSAC !!
I recently purchased a cast one for a 7mgte and ----....
  • #1 i shaved off a handfull or impeller-crushing metal crumbles from inside the runners (those are called flashing, basically it'S the cast iron that leaks between the cracks of the mold inner cores during casting)
  • #2 the runner holes did not match those on the head, cyl #4 was off by half the size of the hole!!! AHAH!!! crap!

Re: new crackie-chan manifold

damn.
wouldnt sandblasting eliminate problem #1?

the others i guess it depends on how bad the holes are off and how much material is there to gring on

Re: new crackie-chan manifold

i like the way it says ##%@ 304 on the inside.

whoever said its flux is so wrong. did they mean slag? slag is from arc/stick welding. the only two things hanging in there are large burrs from cutting of the tube (some chance of falling off depending on luck etc) and weld blobs (not so good for flow, but NOT going to fall off.)

a dremmel will tidy up the burrs well enough, and to be sure to be sure, blow a sand blaster through each runner. if ---- doesnt come off with that, a little "hot wind" wont pull it off either... it is s/s afterall. even if its chinese.

all thin walled manifolds should be braced imo. i'd love to hear the reasoning from the dude that said it would do more harm than good...

think about it... 1.6mm thin tube plus 6" leverage plus 10kg turbo plus lowered bump stopped honda plus any non perfect road = cracks. mild or stainless.

brace it, dremel the burrs, ignore the welds, sand blast the runners, and throw it on.

even if some of those bits come off and hit the turbine, they inconel is hard as ----, and will blend it as it passes through. the small loose bits will only fall off once. i personally think its unlikely that any will fall off. burrs like that tend to be thick next to the tube, and thinner out away from it...

summary, use it.

Re: new crackie-chan manifold

It would probably work just fine if it didn't get hot.....but wait a minute it's an exhaust manifold ;)

Hit it with a torch or something from the inside and I'd bet that ---- will roll out of the manifold like butter off a roll. I've got a cast B series manifold with a T3 flange and TiAL 38mm WG flange that will go for like $80 shipped.
