need turbo spools faster than TD04H-15G
I have a 93 D16Z6 civic, I have searched but can't find a website that shows sizes of turbos to compare. My understanding is the TD04H-15G spools around 3k rpm on a D16z6. I would like to find a turbo that is quicker to spool. I have 17" wheels on this daily driver and the engine needs as much help in the 2k to 3k rpm range.

isnt that the greddy turbo? i'm pretty sure its the td04-15g. those turbos spool fast already....what more do you want? the smaller turbo you get, the more you are limiting your overall power! the only smaller one i can think of is the ihi rhb5 turbo which is the cute/small turbo you might be looking for...
the greddy civic ex turbo is a piece of ----, it boosts fast yes, but it doesn't hold boost very well it leaks terribly thats why I'm upgrading to the T3/t4 hybrid.
You can upgrade to a t25, or a TD05 (the integra turbo kit) or most other mitsubishi turbos. The TD05 is the best upgrade you can get though without changing anything around.

You don't really feel the boost until it reaches about 6 psi then it starts to hold you back in your seat, I'd say with a d16y8 block / head that the '*** moving' feel comes at about 4k rpm and improves all the way to 6.5k rpm but then it becomes stable (as the boost begins to leak). I'd recommend an external wastegate at least, that is more accurate at holding boost.
