Default need a turbo

What other options do i have with my setup. I have a xs engineering turbo kit with no turbo. I was looking at the 18g turbo from greddy kit but those are kinda hard to find for a decent price. Im on a budged ofcourse so i don't want to be spending a whole hell of alot. This is for a integra gsr and i want to run low boost. I was looking about the bay GT28rs turbo's but how reliable can those be? What other options am i over looking. The manifold i have is for a internal wastegate turbo and has a 5 bolt elbow for the turbo like the greddy kit. If anyone wants to look at the turbo kit its the powermax turbo at www.xs-engineering.com. Thanks for the help.

really, because the greddy 18g looks very similar to the GT28 not the mitsu 18g turbos though. I will have to look into a 14b turbo. Anyone know of any other websites to look at for more info on turbos specifically?

look here for turbo info. what flange do you have on that kit? cut it off and weld on a t3 flange then buy a 60/63 turbo and boost away.

its a 5 bolt flange internal wastegate. Don't really want to do that much modification to it since i don't have a welder or anything like that. Rather keep it simple and find a turbo that will fit it. Thanks for the input though.

5 bolt is the exhaust flange, how about the turbo inlet on your manifold? turbos have all kinds of flanges and depending on which one you have on the mani is going to limit what turbos you can put on it. a t3 flange could be put on for no more than 50 bucks plus the flange price and that would be the simplest way because it is one of the most widely used flanges.

thats true but then i would be needing a new downpipe and have to get a hole cut for the wastegate because the manifold doesn't have one. So might as well buy another manifold and all the other parts.

Actually the gt28 comes in the exact same turbine housing as the greddy 18g if you wanted to go that route. There are a few different types of 5 bolt turbine housings so make sure you know which one you have. Your manifold might already be flanged for a t3 with the t3 5 bolt ford style housing. Do lots more research before making your decision.
