need some turbo help.. ecu code 3 (map)
I helped a friend put a turbo on his del sol vtec.
He is running the afc hack w/lucas 440s injectors.
When we started the car, it is throwing a cel. It is a code 3 (map sensor). The wiring is connected fine with the afc and we replaced the map sensor and we are still having the same problem.
Any ideas on what to do?
The idle is set at -41% correction. I just can't seem to put a finger on what is the problem. The wiring to the map sensor is ok too...

Is it a solid Cel? meaning you fire up the car and the light is on right away? or you have to go out and boost it in order for it to trigger.
Was the CEL on before you did the AFC wiring? More than likly it's something in your wiring, because its very rare a map sensor just takes a ---- like that.

step 1. i am going to reinstall the afc and see if that takes care of the prob. from there.... not sure yet.
I installed the afc the same way as mine and i have yet to have a prob with mine (knock on wood)

Make sure that your sensor number setting is on "In 06 Out 06"...this screwed me all up when I first got mine because it wasn't set right. It did exactly what you are decribing.
