ok recently ive been treated for nasty anxiety and i worry about ---- aLOT, im getting anew d series vtec and want o so bad to turbo it bbut what is keeping me from buying ---- is the fear of blowing this motor, i lost my license last september (03) got it back this july and my motor was f'd from sitting so long and now im getting a new motor and if i blow it and cant drive im gonna burn down my car.

what im asking you all is what is a decent turbo for the ap with a low boost setting somthing within the 5-7 psi range, just to hold me over till i build the motor, i dont have any hp goal as of yet, just a decent street car NOTE this will be on stock internals for a bit

also, what is good management: fmu, emanage, hondata, dsm injectors with s-afc, let me know what you all think?

im just really worried about blowing this motor so if any of you have had a set up on your stock d series for a long time without bad things happening , no of a safe set up, or just have input , let me know, thanks

 

It's all in the engine management and tuning. I'm running uberdata right now and it's the best bang for the buck.

 

run 10 psi and vafc, uberdata better. just get good fuel management.

 

so what is a good turbo to use?14? somthing else?

and if i have good management i wont throw a rod

 

it got moisture inside while it was sitting in my garage, and the motor is shot, the cost to fix the head i copuld get a new motor installed

 

just get one of those turbo whistlers and put like 10 switches in your car.

you're probably going to be running the d16z6 or y8...so get something like a T3 .42/.48 and run 5psi of boost

chip your ecu and spend the cash to have it tuned
