im doing this swap to a miata. if i wanted to upgrade a shitty 4 cylinder id obviously go with my current shitty 4 cylinder. that sounds like a shitty idea. unless its a supra. thats at least not a 4 cylinder, but even then who wants a dsm supra

Learn to read a compressor map and to read a turbine map before dropping big coin on the wrong turbo. Plot your engine size, boosted RPM range, and target pressure on a few compressor maps for starters. Before you can do it right, you really need to understand what it is you are doing. It is important to know what the various nuances of design and size will mean for you.
There is some good technical info and links to more info here:Turbo Size, A/R and Trim
Then try some plotting of different compressors here: http://www.***************/turbocalc/ and see what fits the bill for starters.
Good luck to you.
Edit: Wow, that's strange. the asterisks should read (without the spaces) s q u i r r e l p f . c o m
There must be some bad blood or something going on, but it is just a harmless turbo calculator.

i've read up on garrett's turbo tech pages, and did all the math they suggest. the t70 defintely falls within my range. but the squirrelpf site is amazing!! it takes everything down to filling out a form, i cant thank you enough for that =)
