hey guys i been researching with serpo whos told me about this forum... thank god for this forum, other people always say spends 5-10k for a turbo...
anyways im in sydney ive got a civic ek1 d16y4 engine and wanted to turbo, not for much performance just for the turbo :) so far ive researched from other threads by serpo (didnt wanna high jack them) that i can chip the ecu rom, someone can burn it or something, not sure on the specifics, if u guys can help.... also to save on manifold i can sink trap it, could someone provide specifics there, that leaves bv , downpipe, intercooler, right what else?andd anymore ideas on saving money on the remaining stuff would be good too |

D16 manis fit on the D14. I made a ram horn for a guy in Australia and it fit fine.

Re: need help turboing this baby...
ive been reading up so much on trubos and piecing together parts, ill probably end up using a TD04 with a t3 manifold and downpipe...
intercooler is a must i take it for a td04 turbo? so might look into that soon (would be good if i coulda ran without it) my only problem now is ECU ECU ECU where do i get a cheap ecu to just run the d*mn thing, or even chip my ecu...? |

okay back to the topic... best suggestions on ecu pwez? |
Re: need help turboing this baby...
Because you're in the ek platform, I'd say dropping down to obd1 would be your best bet so you can at least chip and tune the setup yourself for little money. |
