Well your right, there might not be a whole lot of info specifically on BMW's, but, alot of the info you will learn here can be universal to any turbocharged engine. It's just going to take alot of patience and learning to find out what you'll need to begin piecing your kit together and safely run a turbo setup.
Welcome to HMT by the way. What are your power expectations (goals) once your turbo setup is installed?

I'd start by googling for companies that make Turbo kits for the 325i and getting the specs that they use and then ghetto fabricate a replica using a similar sized turbo.

Most of the sites you're going to find will be German, but you can adapt..

this is a site with a turbo project for E30 http://home.att.net/~jroal/jay/bmw.htm
i am doing my best 2 instal a turbo on my 320 e30 but i have some problems. the 1st thing is that i can not find the right header for it ...i've got from a 324TD but they don't fit so i have 2 make a flange ...quit dificult but i am going 2 do it this week.
the second problem is with the Air Flow Meter ...I know i have 2 give more fuel ...i have bigger injectors but the thing is that i just don't get it ...can i use the standard Air Flow Meter and the larger inectors is it enof ? or i need something else in order to mesure the air and tell the ECU how much gass i need ? maybe u can explain this 2 me i don't whana learn it the hard way ...oh and can i use a biger fuel presure regulator ? the standrd one is 3bars is it going to help if i'l use a 3.5 one ?

its usually called a turbo manifold, most cars do not adjust their maps to compensate for boost. Some turbo cars can be upped a little bit. You will either need to have your ecu chipped or figure out a way to tune those bigger injectors with the amount of air coming in

uhmmm I think I read that the injection system the bmw's use adapt to bigger injectors ....the air flow meter will read up to a amount of air...you'll probably max it out if you boost really high, but I've read most AFM can measure more air then the NA engine needs. And just make your own manifold...it's easy. You would need someone to make you a flange...maybe BMC can help you with that....ask him and send him a scribble or a autocad of the flange...

Find a kit, don't chance doing it yourself. Not that much HMT style support for bimmers, better to pay out the big bucks and get the support of a kit.

Don't ---- up that car man, too expensive to fix.
