Re: Need Help Fast for Daily Driver

I got the car back from the body shop today so I decided to do some of the things you guys suggested. I sprayed wd40 on all connections and fuel injectors and the idle did not change, so that means I don't have a leak. I connected the O2 and it runs worse nearly stalling each time I put the clutch in. I still have a bad iac but today it wasn't acting up like it usually does. CEL is still on. I took of the cloth that I was using for the air filter and found oil in the intake side of the turbo, I bought a 16g and it also had oil sitting in the intake side of the turbo. I tried starting the car with the cloth off and I couldn't get it to stay running. Any help will be much appreciated.

well you need to run the codes from the ecu, and find out what the probelm is and then fix them. Then you can get your car tuned and it will run good..... Checking codes is elementary honda stuff... get at it, stop beating around the ------- bush

What? a bad elbow?? how did this cause a cel?? im lost or is the cel because of the o2 not plugged in? what ever you did could not have fixed the problem with the car dieing out after 3,000 rpm

The O2 did nothing, if anything it became more gutless when I plugged it in. The car was in limp mode due to a massive hidden boost leak on the turbo. The talon/eclipses have a black elbow that bolts onto the intake side of the turbo housing so you can connect the plumbing. Turns out that I was missing a gasket where it connects. I don't know why it didn't show up on the leak tests. I only found this because I was about to replace the turbo but I didn't want to reseal my connection. Now shes got plenty of power. I still have a CEL but thats because of my IAC but I don't care. Thanks for the help I would have never gotten this far without you. But next time some one has a similar problem I suggest to tell them to check all the bolted connections first.

yea but the limp mode couldnt have been caused by that that would only cause a boost leak but your car will still run at least like a stock engine and wouldnt throw a code from it. im glad you got it fixed but either your car was not in limp mode or it was some sort of miracle where it fixed itself when you found the boost leak. did you ever check all the codes? if so what were they? :l

"my friend chips and tunes cars for a living"

and stopped reading.

he is either screwing people out of money or he is messing with you. he should be able to fix that ---- in less than 5 min.

car runs perfect now after I fixed the boost leak. Except for the IAC.
