ok strait to the point. i have a d17 and i wanna turbo charge it. heres the deal, i want to do as cheap (money wise) as possible. but i want pretty decent results. i was thinkin on buyin a blown turbo and having it rebuilt. but i need to know what else i need. i dont know ----. i was just gunna buy a kit but too expensive. any help??

 

heres what happened. i was gunna get a whole engine swap. i was gettin a k20a but then my friends started tellin me about turbos and how they r cheaper and ----. so im convinced i want a turbo. the deal is i dont wanna spend more than 2 grand for all the components. the installation ill pay for seperate. so im looking at a 95 eclipse turbo. its blown but i got a friend who can rebuilt it and make it fit. what u guys think?? good idea or no?? the k20a would be 7 grand. so i would have to wait yrs to get it. but the turbo i can get with a month or 2

Your wanting to spend 2g's dang man you can get juss about anything you want... Screw the rebuilt turbo get you a brand new one and go from there... im building mine for 1800.00 And almost everything is new.
