Threshold,

There is a member on jbody.org named josh solomon who has an ecotec turbo made by speedcraft. He runs a 14.2 with 6psi non-intercooled. If you want a start I heard the 2003 Saab 93 turbo manifold is a direct bolt up to the 2.2 ecotec.

Apparantly the ecotec has proven to be pretty strong to a lot of people on the org. Most people with them are using nitrous because of the lack of aftermarket since they are still new. I believe a few are using 85 - 100 shots and running 13.8's with an automatic trans.

There is also a book out on how to build a 1000 hp ecotec. It's not a streetable setup but the engine does have potention. Any engine does really, it just takes time and money. If I remember correctly several turbo kits are in the process of being made for the that engine. Johnny Mack is almost finished with his setup for production and John Lingenfelter is also helping to create a kit thats comming out.

I know most everyone here says "sell it and buy a honda" but every car has potential and can be customized. Sometimes you just have to deal with what you have otherwise we would probably all have a Mclarin F1 and have almost no reason to go faster :)
