Try www.turbomustangs.com/forums

Get ready for a lot of arrogant inuendo at times though. Good info in the archives (Search function) but the older members are becoming more and more full of themselves 9and the gobs of cash they drop in those things) by the day
Oh yeah, I have a twinturbo charged G. T.

Are you running stock compression? I am worried 'bout my compression being 8.8:1, but with 25psi that brings it up to approx 13 or 14:1, I am running SAFM and a digital ignition. Everything is programable. But the other problem is I want to run on pump gas 92 octane here in Jersey.

Re: NE1 on here with a twin turbo setup on a V-8?

I am just finishing my twin turbo 5.0. Stock compression.
Details:
Twin IHI turbos from 87-88 turbocoupes
2.25 inch hotside tubing
2 inch cold side tubing to the intercooler. 2-2.5 inch transitions into the IC
3 inch tubing from IC to the throttlebody.
-10AN oil drains
1/8 inch oil feeds.
Custom twin turbo intercooler
stock injectors for now with a ATI FMU
190 lph fuel pump (I may upgrade the fuel system later)
It runs like a stock mustang but quieter. The IHIs spool really fast. The power is pretty intense. I have not really taken it over 8psi and have not nearly floored the thing. I nearly spun the car going 60 in a straight line when I gave maybe half throttle in 3rd. Right now I am waiting for a new clutch quadrant of all things. I have not gotten to drive it too much.

My father just bought a 2001 Camaro SS....I'm looking at two brand new Holset HX40's to put on it ;D Both capable of supporting 650 hp each. I'm looking at LS1-edit for management...I still need to read more about it, but the MAF sucks though...I'd like to go to a map sensor for that thing when my father is going the put some forgedr pistons and arp rod bolts.

Im planning out doing a TT setup on my 94 gt. Dont worry about the compression ration too much.....you'll make more than enough power to turn the stock block into a couple four cylinders before it becomes an issue.

I have a set up of 2 T3's (60/.63) off of a turbocoupe on my 351, but they are way too small for what I am doing. I think im going to go with 2 GT30R's I still have to do more calculations and reading the maps, but I ordered my 103lb./hr. injectors today! Also going to be running megasquirt.

That is a really nice setup, did you make/have made the intercooler or did you find that somewhere? Im gonna try building one, I got a TIG welder 2 months ago and Im still practicing.

I'm pretty sure all the old heads here have seen my old twin set-up and my old single set-up. Well, I've since built a new set-up utilizinga pair or Grand National T3/T4 units

http://www.mustangmods.com/data/920/twiinalmost.jpg

Haven't put it on the road yet but will in the next 2 weeks. Just got my meter and my eec-tuner. Need to get some oil lines and a few fittings and it'll be ready to fire.

Re: NE1 on here with a twin turbo setup on a V-8?

alex you should fab, or have someone fab a sheet metal upper intake to have the inlet at the front of the engine.

ive thought about trying this, and whatever i have to do with the throttle cable and such to make it work... but the upper boost pipe wouldnt have to run past one of the turbine and manifolds

i think it'd be cool

Re: NE1 on here with a twin turbo setup on a V-8?

I did the front plenum throttle body deal years ago, with my old twin set-up

http://www.mustangmods.com/data/920/mvc004f.jpg

I sold that intake with the turbo set-up. I don't think I'll change back to a front mounted throttle body again though. there is just not that much heat soak to wqorry about because the charge pipe isa few inches from the turbo. I'd make a sheild, wrap the pipe or powder coat it if I did anything.
With the currecnt set-up, I'm not even running an intercooler just Alk/Water injection for now. I've been seeing some good results with the $200 OBX that everyone is selling on E-Ghey and I'm going to get one of those maybe for summer. Not to concerned about it right now (not to forget I'm having a new house built right now and I'll be stuck with 2 mortages until the current house sells or I rent it out) as I'm only going to run the car at the stock wastegate settings fornow (which I believe is 8#'s or so)

Daaamn! Nice!

I am glad I don't have shock towers on my 71' Camino..
That looks like fun, routing the charge pipes etc.

What kind of HP numbers you think you are pulling with the Fords?
Other ? is how the efi is working for ya'.

I am looking in to Accel Gen VII set up... but chingos of cash for that.
I may just run a TPI, but I hear the computers on those things bite.

Nice work guys!
