Default Mystery turbo I received

I bought two turbo's from a guy on HT for 180 shipped and both needed rebuilds and I knew that when I bought them. So the first was a Turbonetics T3/T04e 50 trim and the other is the mysterious snail. Only this is that it has a turbonetics turbine housing but the compressor housing is blank. No marking on the inside the exhaust housing to even say what size it is unlike the other turbo. The guy I bought them from didn't know either. The t3/to4e needs a rebuild since there's mad play up, down, in and out. The larger turbo has just alil and he said it's still builds boost but smokes. I bought a Stealthmode oil restrictor to help on the smoking. Originally I thought the to4e was gonna be the usuable snail but unknow is. The compressor housing on this is pretty damn big and measures 7" across while the to4e is an inch smaller. I'm gonna have to use that big *** snail till I get the other rebuilt basically because I don't wanna swap center housings and wheels(t04e has a stg 3 wheel) and use it unbalanced. I know this is some pretty vague info but I thought the T04e was gonna be big on my z6 but now this big ol beast. Lag city here I come :P

I had to put a new piece on it so that a coupler could clamp on to it since the elbow originally on it was cut off. I just cut off one off a old IHI t-bird compressor housing I had laying around and jb welded that ****** on! lol

ID of the compressor housing

The rest of the kit. Saab Viggen FMIC flat black, SSauto ---- mani, Turbonetics WG, knockoff Greddy Type S BOV and a box of ubends for chargepiping and a DP and running on uber.

and going into this

haha thats hotrex's islam imported ex bitch.

i'd say if anything change the color on the wheels, they just look outta place. but then again thats not really what this thread is about. id say it looks like you've got two t3/t4's ones just got like a .60 or .63 compressor housing.

well, the rims are definitly different. +1 for originality.

oil restrictors are a must in any honda turbo application, i'm glad you see that.
good luck on your project.

Osama Bitch laden is just creepy looking and knowing Hotrex was in that just made it worst. I'll give it shot and see what it's like while I rebuild the t04e I was planning on. I guess everything looks huge when all you've ever used are RHB5's! lol. The like the color of my N1's and the fat *** polished lips. If you can even find me another set of N1's then good job Magnum PI!

Also where do most people mount their restrictors? I was thinking of mounting it right on top of the center section but would that plastic lever melt being that close to the exhaust?
