Is my welder good enough?
Here is the welder i got:
http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...subcat=Welders I want to make a manifold and am wondering if my welder will be sufficient. I plan on using the sched. 40 (i think) bends from mcmaster.com What do you think? will it hold if we assume i can lay down a good bead. |
Re: Is my welder good enough?
It will be ok as long as you do double passes on all your welds to get some good penetration.Thats the same on that Ghetto-d has and its been working ok for him as far as I know.

Re: Is my welder good enough?
mild steel and ur fine

Re: Is my welder good enough?
So i shouldn't get the stainless steel? mcmaster has bends that are called black seamless steel, they are sch 40, those should work?

Re: Is my welder good enough?
just some schedule 10 piping, it will be easier. also try for mild, its a little cheaper.
