good numbers for that engine. how many psi'?

robs99si 09-25-2004 09:25 PM

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

you don't need to scan the graph. just take a picture of it.

Never knew a tiny turbo like that could push that amount of power at 10-11 psi 8).Was this on a mustang dyno or dynojet?

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

It was on a DynoJet. But the car still pulls hard enough to get a 13.34 @ 102.7 MPH.

hey guy!
i was one of the dyno operators at kinetic motorsport. the first thing i noticed was the HMT kit you had goin. Nice work, but i do suggest adding fuel to the top end, it was leaning out and detonating.

again nice work!

phil

ps: we use a dyno dynamics dynamometer

First off it wasn't detonating, it was missing. I highly doubt it would detonate on C16 ::). I run 94 octane on the street and didn't want to take any chances with multiple runs on the dyno so I put in the C16 on an empty tank.

Second of all I had MY wideband hooked up and datalogging all the 4 runs (even though the graph only shows the last two runs) and my wideband showed me the same a/f's I've been logging for the past month. My wideband is installed in the manifold where as yours is in the tailpipe. Not to mention the guy before me filled your wideband with water comming out of his exhaust. So I doubt the #'s it was showing were acurate.
My datalogging graph shows 12.2's till about 6800 then it dips down to 11.8's till I shift.

glad u like them girls... only problem is they arent in my bed with me. haha =)

Also phresh, I'd personally stick with your numbers if you know that it was from ur wideband.

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

the story unfolds...?

so you were running c16, why didnt you mention that little detail in the beginning?

and to the dyno guy: why didnt you tell the owner of the car that it was "detonating" while tuning it on the dyno.. seems like something i would want to now if i was dyno tuning my car.

do you have pictures and dyno graphs? timeslips?
e-tuning?

biggmike 09-26-2004 08:44 PM

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

---- 200hp is nothing for c16 gas, you suck ballz nigga. lol and yeah its nice the dyno operators just sit there listening to detonation and say nothing.

phresh_5 09-27-2004 02:00 AM

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

My car does NOT detonate. I run the same psi on the street on 94 octane pump gas. But since I knew there was limited time to cool the car down between runs on this dyno day, I chose to run the race gas.

FYI, race gas doesn't give you any more power. It just prevents knock a lot better.

91civicZ6, look up. The dyno graph and timeslip are posted.

Semnos 09-27-2004 03:05 AM

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

yup...race gas prevents knock better...so you can run more agressive timing up top, better said you can run more timing up top without detonating and make more power.

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

why don't you post your UD .bin for others who may have a similar set up. pretty nice numbers. i went to the dyno this weekend and lost 10 whp on my second run b/c it was only a minute after the first, got heat :P

Sorry guys, can't give out my Uberdata maps.

My friend and I actually make custom turbo kits for honda's. We also make custom exhausts, intercoolers, manifolds etc. Our company is called DCP Turbo Systems and is in Vancouver, B.C. My friends the master welder and I'm the tuner. We both install the kits and still charge way less than any Greddy kit. So if I were to give out my tuned maps, I would no longer be making $.

so your a parasite? you gather info from people here, then use it as well as blakes program, and all the work put into it by him and others to make a profit for yourself... and not help others.

thats pretty cool.

that's the gayes thing i've ever heard, you're no longer welcome at hmt as far as i'm concerned. so you're making maoney off of a free program that other so graciously dedicated their time to write and prolly not to long ago help you learn how to use and you can't post your .bin's. that's what uberdata is all about you ass hat, sharing and helping others. how much money have you donated to blake for using uberdata since you're making money off of it, or to jeff at hmt since i'm sure you've learned a lot here too. go somewhere else with that ----.

what an ass.

doesn't blake have a disclaimer stating uberdata can not be profitable?

"Since I've spent countless hours tuning my map, I'm not about to give it away. I actually tune uberdata cars where I live and make some decent money doing it. Sorry man."

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

please dont ban me from this thread for saying this....but really whats wrong with making money to TUNE someone's car...

if i were using uberdata or turboedit and someone came to me saying they wanted me to tune there car....i would charge them for my time it took to properly tune there car....i would only be making money for my time spent. remember the old saying " time is money " and personally i dont hold it against him for doing it...Now although i would share the wealth of my maps with people, but if i tune say my neighbors turbo'd civic from scratch...hell yeah im gonna charge him....but im not gonna just upload a pre-made map into his car and call it done, im gonna sit there and upload a map...and then fine tune it out so he wouldnt have any problems...but before i give out my maps on the net....i would put up a disclaimer im not liable for them blowing up there engine cause the timing or fuel doesnt meet there needs, they would have to fine tune out that map to make it work right.

oh, and if anyone needs some dyno tuned d16 non vtec maps and some d16 vtec maps for 6 psi shoot me a pm, i will email them off. as well as a b18b on 9psi maps.

nothing wrong with tuning someones car if they don't know how or don't have the tools, but why not share that .bin for others to experiment with?? uberdata is about sharing and you'll notice a section on ther strictly dedicated to sharing .bin's. pat made 230 whp with his stock z6 and he posts his .bin everywhere for people to use if they want, that's how it's suppose to be.

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

Don't worry guys...It's not all that bad, but if he was tuning for a long time..he should know that putting out his bin wouldn't hurt him, cause every engine is different even if it's the same type...the casting is always different and the atmosphere and where you live plays a big part in your tune.....How many people is making the same power as Pat with Pat's bin?????
I haven't seen any dyno sheets....I've heard people running rich on that map though...
Turbo size, intercooler size,,,piping size, eviroment everything plays a role in tuning...so someones bin won't be as good in anothers car.
You will always have to tune your car if you want it running perfect AFR's....and tuning the timing table is done based on what fuel you're running and also when it's detonating etc....if he's running aggressive timing cause he's on race gas...you'll detonate to death if you'll put that bin in your car and run on 91 octane or 89 octane

turboboy 09-27-2004 11:05 AM

Re:My T25 Dyno #'s

seriously...if you say you are charging for that "perfect map" for each specific car, there should be no problem sharing your map for others to use as a base map

exactly my point, you can't just run that .bin and have a perfect tune, it would still need work on a different car, but it's a good starting point for someone with a similar set up. that's why i don't understand why he's so greedy, oh well, i just hope he's at least donating to UD since he's making money off of it.
