Default My set-up and Questions

ok, before i post my set-up i have a few questions

What type of clutch should i run? Its daily driver seeing between 300-400whp

Is it necessary to have guages to monitor this and that considering im usuing aem ems? Which guages do you feel are necessary? I dont like have 30 guages in a car, the less the better

What whp are 550 injectors rated to?

If you see anything in my list that sucks or wont work let me know. This is going to be my set-up here shortly, picking up majority of the parts in the next week or so.

Earl Benson Sleeved JDM SiR B16A block
C/P 9:1 C/R Forged Internals
Crower I-Beam Rods and Rod Bolts
ARP headstuds
Cometic 1.2mm copper Headgasket
Moroso 5.8Q oil pan
100% Stock head! ( Porting required )
Wrinkle Red Valve Cover (The DIY Type R style! )
RC Eng. 550cc Injectors
Brand New 01 spec Type R LSD, usdm Transmission Under 1,000 miles on it.
New clutch OEM, stock one though
Garrett T3/T4OE Hybrid 60 trim .63A/R Turbocharger (+ AirFilter)
All Oil Feed Lines And AN fitting return lines
2.5Inch downpipe/Log Manifold
TiAL 38mm Wastegate 7.8Psi Spring and dumptube
2.5in. Mandrel Bent Tubing
Johnny Race Car Intercooler
Greddy Type RS BOV
9in Pusher Fan
All Vac lines required
All Stock (94-01) Integra Motor Mounts, bracket, shiftlinkage and axles
P30 Power Steering pump and alternator
OBD1 B16A Distributor and Throttle Body
OBD1 Wiring Harness
AEM Programable Engine Management System
w/serial---->USB adapter cable

i will probably also get the following

turbo timer
e-cut out 2.5"
boost controller "greddy spec II"
high low boost button
aftermarket clutch, dunno which 1 yet

going to have it all installed and running within 3 weeks time, ill probably have it tuned for around 260whp daily driving boost setting and around 350whp high boost. The current intercooler probably wont support anything more then 350whp without issues therefore intercooler will be upgraded after winter when all the kinks are taken care of and so fourth. Plus i really dont wanna have to run a huge FMIC because im not gonna remove the stock support bar but will be getting a diff front bumper shortly as well. So just gonna run the johnny for now

turbo timer=gay, and the 550's will be fine for 250whp, but I duno if theyre gona be good enough for 350whp, you might need to go a lil bigger. everything else sounds arlight i guess.

Do you have someone building this car or you doing it yourself. Someone knowledgable enough to build that motor should be able to answer the "What gauges should I have" or " What clutch do I need" or "Are 550cc good enoguh" Themselves!!

Bu to answer you questions, Contact LSD Motorsports about a clutch, he'll give you a good answer, I wouldn't run a boosted car with out at least a Bost Gauge, An Oil Pressure Gauge, and An acuarate Water Temp Guage. 450cc injectors have held 350whp with bumped up Fuel Pressure on some motors, so knowing that, 550cc should meet your goals.

I would agree 100% with what bumblezc said. What kind of car is this all going in?

BTW, that motor could have twice the amount of power that the turbo can produce. You will have PLENTY of room for upgrades. What kind of manifold are you going to run? What is the bore on the cyl? and you are going to run a stock head? that things gonna be constipated.

the motor is already built, has around 1,000 miles on it while in na form

the manifold is just a log manifold with 2.5" downpipe, cant remember what company makes it

its a 2.0 L b16 bottom end built by earl, hasnt seen boost yet

i am planning on running stock head with some mild port-work

basically the list of mods i posted is a entire local swap for sale, going to do a leakdown test on sunday, if that checks out, im buying the entire swap, comes with everything i mentioned above, including the entire swap, turbo system, and ems

btw: i copied and pasted the mods straight from the sellers info so i didnt mean to post that valve cover ----, i already own a type r swap right now so i might end up just swapping heads if the valve clearences are alright

btw: its all going in a del sol, keeping my ac and will be daily driven, probably wont push more then 350whp, maybe 400whp down the road after i get used to 350whp but for now, just looking to get it all installed and the way i want it

on a side note, any-1 know what kinda power this turbo maxxes at?

if eveything turns out alright and the motor passes the leakdown test then i will also be buying a new clutch from LSD, going with probably a stage 4, also gonna do a 2.5" cut-out, new piping and intercooler, and greddy profec II, turbo timer, and then after winter if i need more power i might look into upgrading the turbo/manifold/downpipe

im also gonna clay bar it and see if my type r head will clear on the b16 bottom, id rather run my R head.cam's then the b16, but if it dosnt clear im gonna have the b16 ported/polished a bit

o, and theres no sense of me upgrading to 7500cc injectors if the 550rc's will support my current goals, if i want more power later ill do it the right way and do everything at once
