My Problem Is D15B2. Help please.

Hello!
Excuse for my English.:) I live in Russia.
I have Honda Civic, which has been made in 1992 year, with motor D15B2.
I would like to make this machine more power. I do not have big money to address in expensive tuning-studio. And i want to do it by myself. Nobody in Russia don't want help me with my car. We have not enough information about serious tuning of cars Honda in our country. I hope you will help me.
What can I do with my car? What I should begin to do? What project You will advice to me?
I think about installation of multithrottle (HM-ITB) from Suzuki. I have read about it on this site. Tell me more in detail about that, how the machine behaves after that? How you counted length of inlet tubes? It steals up individually?
Or you advice me another project?
Thank You very much!
With best wishes, Nikolay

if you want cheap power you should turbo it.. itbs are awesome but hp gain is more difficult and expensive with it

First thing you need to do is get rid of that crappy dual point fuel injection and swap to multi port injection. Then do intake, exhaust, and a cam. Your motor will be much peppier.

Or if you have enough money, boost that biotch 8)

Re: My Problem Is D15B2. Help please.

Thanks for answers!
I am very glad!
So, what is better turbo or multirottle (HM-ITB)?
I am little afraid that turbo will kill my engine. But the turbo is my dream. Many Civics in our country were killed by turbo. And I heard that turbo-kit is very expensive. And I must have many other tuning parts in engine to install turbo.
On the other hand if I do this swap (I install the head and intake from B15) I will have VTEC and multi port injection.

PS To jagojon3 Sorry, I don't understand what means "boost that biotch"?

Thank You very much!
With best wishes, Nikolay

hahahaha, now thats funny.

jagonjon3 means that turbo is better than ITB. You cannot put B15 head on D15 block. You can turbo your civic for much less than $1000 US if you do some research on this site. If you are careful, the motor will last a long time.

lol, yea what he said. A turbo will make your car waaaay faster than ITBs will. Boost that biotch means get it boosted ;)

I can install the head: D16A6, D14A1, D16Z2, D15Z1 on my engine + multi port injection.

You have all these heads? If so go with the A6. Any of them will work really.

if you know the basics with working on a honda, then a turbo kit would be your best bet for the most power on a stock motor. they arnt expensive at all, just time consuming and buying realiable parts is what counts, learn from experience like i did buying shitty cheap parts gets you no where, good luck buddy

Hello!
Thank you very much!
I am understand, that I need a turbo. ;)
I have some questions about it.
1. What model of turbo you recommend? I think about T-25 or T-3... I am wrong?
2. How are you solve the problem with ECU (engine control) then turbo was install?
3. From where you feed the turbo with oil?
4. If I were made turbo, have I must necessarily swap the head to VTEC and to multi port injection?

PS Сan somebody sell turbo to me? I want buy it. I couldn't find it in our country.
Thank you!
With best wishes, Nikolay

You should install the A6 head and multiport injection first then turbo it.As far as you other questions
1- T25 will work fine but a T3 would be better go for the best deal you can find
2- You need to chip the ecu and then you can run a editing program to add fuel take out timing etc. This and 450cc injectors or similar
3- You run a line from where the stock oil pressure sensor is on the back of the block by the oil filter [thread is 1/8 BSPT]
4- Not neccasary but i would recommend the multi port swap so you can use the chipped ecu as i described above.

Your other option is to buy a FMU and some check valves for the map sensor so the sensor does not read boost and freak out.Not a good way of doing it but it will work.Good luck

Re: My Problem Is D15B2. Help please.

Hello!
1. What is "two point injection"? I know "multi port injection", "mono injection", but I didn't know "two point injection"... And in the end of this article (https://www.homemadeturbo.com/turbo_projects/d15b2/) was writen: "2 480cc Bosch Injector KIT SDS". It is my engine in this article, and I do not understand what for there 2 injector.
2. I know about to chip the ecu. But how can I connect notebook to the ECU and use the program TurboEDIT (for example).
3. Can somebody help me with delivery from ebay (for example through DHL or other...)?

PS Сan somebody sell turbo to me (or something other part to install turbo)? I want buy it. I couldn't find it in our country.
Thank you!
With best wishes, Nikolay

your best bet would probably be to have a list of exactly everything you need, so you can just check it off as you get it, that way you dont just have a ton of ---- make a list of decent reliable parts, and whats your budget?

Re: My Problem Is D15B2. Help please.

I say, get the turbo and use an FMU to regulate fuel, since you say you have nobody around you who knows anything about hondas. That will be your best bet. GEt the T25 and FMU, boost gauge, EGT gauge, HF or STD manifold, and custom dp, etc. Oil is fed to the turbo through the oil pressure sensor outlet located on teh back of the block near the oil filter.
