Mines running oil cooled only right now man, no issues. I Have/Had water lines, but the way the WG and turbo mounted the water lines were too close to the adaptor plate and HF manifold, so they were melting...

I have a pusher fan on my turbo side of the radiator that always blows on my turbo ( even when the engine isn't warm :-X ), and I just give the car about 4 minutes before shutting it down after a good "rally type" drive. When I drive it to work and don't ever get over 4000rpms, I just wait about 30secs...

I also have hood vents that keep air flowing over the turbo..

Bad news for me is that since I'm using the stock exhuast, a lot of my heat/exhuast it getting stuck in my turbine side causes extra heat, but as soon as I get a clutch that will be fixed...

I'm still going to beg you to put a bigger turbo on that car...

If/when you wanna sell it let me know and I'll buy it ( always need a spare, even though mine only had less than 5,000 miles on it ).

SOHC 1.6L + WRX turbo = good
DOHC 2.4L + wrx turbo = well....

Does your WG hit the block cuz just looking at the WG when mounted to my cx mani it looks like there might be some clearance issues.

djfob> Thanks for the concerns...i know it's a little small for my case but this is what I got for now. I'm sure once more funds come in, i'll upgrade...

As far as fitment of turbo, I haven't even gotten the manifold parts in the mail yet so I'll have to see once we start fabbing the manifold up.

but now that you mention it, it does look kinda iffy. I always thought you can just rotate the intake side a bit, but i never thought about the case with an internal wastegated turbo. you can't really do that without fidning a way to remount the wastegate bracket on the intake housing huh? :S oh well...we'll see what happens.
