Default My Idea For Water Injection

This is my idea for water injection. First off you have to have a high output pump 80-100psi. Then you need a water tank mounted anywhere you can. Then you get a fine mist nozzle. Place the nozzle in the charge pipes. Place the pump somewhere near the water tank and then run a momentary switch to the inside of your car hooked up to the pump. Then find some way to monitor your intake temps. Figure out when you are most likly to dentonate. Then when you are driving along and you see your tempurature rise to the point of dentonation you can hold the momentary switch until the temps go down. Or just give it short little squirts.

Some questions I have are is there a way to monitor your intake tempuratures? Will this work? And does any body have any questions or comments?

No wait you don't understand. I can turn this on any time that i want. The injection is not going into the manifold ether. It was going into the charge pipes. That did not make anysense on what you said. Please rephrase it.

pressing a button for water injection is stupid

the pressure switch could be mounted anywhere on intake piping.

Yup, and adjustable Hobbs pressure switch from NAPA will run you ~$27. Part # 7011577 comes factory set to 15psi and is the one I'm using on my W/I kit.

OR

J. Davis pointed out you could tap the MAP sensor and have the system trigger when the MAP sensor hits a certian voltage.
