I'm not a professional welder by any means (but I can run a mean flux-core and mig bead ) but it kinda looks like regular flux-core madness. I've never seen splatter like that from a gas/mig setup.

you dont have to be a good welder, just a good grinder.

Its got the gas hook up on the back of the welder but I dont have a tank. I'll try turning down the wire feed a bit, thanks for the tip. I know little to nothing about welding. I've been having problems with the wire feed, the liner needs to be replaced in the gun. You have to keep the line completly strait or it wont feed. It looks like someone ran over the line. These dump tubes I make normally dont last very long, I made another on out of conduit and raced a b20 boosted civic, stomped it 3 times and when I got home the welds on the stainless flange to conduit were broke and conduit was pretty close to falling off. The d15 headers tubes seem to be holdin up a lil better. I'm guessing its the mild steel.

I also welded some brackets to my radiator support for my intercooler and for some reason the welds dont seem to be sticking to the rad support very well. I've had to re grind and weld em up 3 times.

Thanks for your time and tips
