well yes but a larger throttle body and a correct intake manifold will equal alot more throttle response and overall just more power

2 people in this thread have 12 sec d15b's

both on small turbos ones that most people cant get to run 13's on

both run port work

both modified intake manifolds

shocking no.

Good luck with that kit

vj11 turbos arent the greatest for top end, but boy do they spool fast. on my mx6, i had just a boost controller and i was hitting 15psi in 5th gear by 2.5K rpm's

a few mx6 guys have hit 12s on those turbos with just bolt ons and slicks, so you shouldnt have any problem getting 13s with a good launch. anything more than 15 psi daily, that turbo probably wont last too long. good project, and good luck

haha btw, i got a stock mx6 intercooler fs, plenty efficient for 15psi

I wanted to mount my intercooler before saturday because thats when i'm taking this bitch into work and ripping into it hard.....should have been a quick install but turned into a headache after what i saw with the core support.

I yanked the bumber off and found that the guy that owned it before me actually had hit something pretty bad and the spot welds from the factory were pulled right out the the core support bracket on the passenger side was just hanging....so after some hammering and welding....me an my buddy got that bitch straight

Buddy kev layin down some mig action

This is the passenger side.....he just welded the whole seem around the support.....factory had 3 spot welds......uber reinforcement now nogs!

And since he was laying some welds already we just had him reinforce the driver side to....u never know...

So the intercooler had two tabs welded on for whatever reason......i decided to flip the bitch upside down so it fits flush withing my bumber.....to do this i had to cut off the 2 tabs on the bottom

and here it is mount-the red arrow is pointing to where the support was broken and the work we did to fix it:

As with any intercooler install....i had to hack my bumber a bit.....but still fits pretty flush...

I'm ordering my t-fitting from tuner toys tomarrow along with some charge piping from donald so hopefully i'll have everything by saturday to get this bitch boosted...

Are you going to have enough room to fit pipe below onto the intercooler? It looks good it's just the inlets look about flush with the bottom line of the vehicle.
