today me and my retarded asian friend finally put together my first turbo and all looked shitty but functional , when it started I saw smoke from the DP and my friend told me it was just some oil burning off so then i Jetted off in my civ and the smoke got worse(boost was ------ awsome) so we took a look and the oil was spewing out of my DP so we had to take it off to get home or I would have ran out of oil in about five minutes flat.

bottom line, is it the turbo oil seals and if so should I rebuild it or just by a another IHI probe turbo. help me out i wanna feel boost again.

 

if its an ihi turbo, you should just be able to find another vf series center section at a yard or something and use your compressor and exhaust housings to save some cash... unless either of wheels are damaged....

 

---- just buy another turbo its not like that ***** expensive...and wat are you running for management.

 

the ---- has no shaft play and it spins pretty freely, as far as fuel management goes I have none cause I was planning on destroying the engine anyways but now I liked the feeling and am gonna look for a ECU to chip. How much do IHI run anyways? the one I got I stole from Pick-n-pull.

I doubt if you'd have to pay over $100 for one, if that much...Keep an eye on the classifieds here(might wanna check them right now)...There is usually someone on there with one from time to time...I don't bother with it much anymore, but I used to could raid a turbo car for all the parts(turbo, IC, BOV, injectors, etc. etc.) at the local pull and pay for $100...
