I'm wondering if that "flexing" is because I have the wrong rear trans mount... that's my question I guess. Are there different ones?

If it's normal I'll live with window weld in my mounts.

They're all the same as far as I know. MY gf's EF hatch has twisted mounts in it, but its also been hit in the front(before e got it). Is there any buckling in your frame rail? Have you got your panels welded in yet

Nah, haven't started the body work yet... want to rape on it first :P

I think If I put the rear mount in and loosen all the bolts on the side mount it'll work out.

I put the mounts in as a solid piece (all bolted up and tightened) and I know each bolt has a bit of play in it. This car doesn't look like it was in an accident, so we'll see how it pans out.

I'm still waiting on my order from Racing Solutions. My ching chong IC broke too, structural only... nothing a little JBweld couldn't take care of. I'm going to finish the wiring hopefully tonight or tomorrow so I can finish this bitch once I get the IC piping done. I gotta head to work so I'll try to take some pics tonight.

Is that normal?! Are there different length metal brackets for that mount, and I have the wrong one? I'll get pics tonight if that makes anything better.
Its the drivers side mount thats wrong. It happened to me when I put an obd2 longblock into an 90 civic. THe mount looks like its twisted forward. Im not sure what combo on mounts you need to fix it but it will work the way you have it.

Ive got a set of mounts with poly inserts if your interested.

keep up the good work!

I had asked if you had started doing bodywork b/c I'd recommend do all of you bodywork(or at least welding of panels) with the car on all 4 wheels. With all the metal thats been removed from the rockers and the pinch point area the chassis is most likely sagging or flexed in certain spots. This is due to all of the weight being help up on certain points of the chassis by the jack stands the car was on in ur pics.

Long story short, I used to work in a resto shop in Highschool and we used to get alot of cars that were started in other shops that had fucked up gaps and the doors wouldn't shut right. What was happenning was people were cutting major structural parts like rocker panels (on unibody cars), floor pans, and quarters off of these cars when they were on a lift or jack stands and the cars were being welded back up in a "semi flexed" manner. Alot of time the panels would end up getting rehung with the car sitting on all 4 tires.

By the way I'm liking the replacement quarters and rockers. The rockers look like they should be able to be spotwelded back into all of the factory spots. It'll be super clean when its done

Thanks for you advice, I'm definitely going to take it. I'm going to finish the suspension tomorrow (hopefully I can get this mount thing figured out and get the water neck installed) and get this car on the ground!!.

Where did you find the parts breakdown to order those parts?

Majestic Honda. Hondaautomotiveparts.com I believe.

Throw the year/model/trim in there, and I think it's "Outer Panel" for those. The quarter repair panels I bought off eBay, otherwise they are like 500 dollars a side from Honda
