I just went out today to test my car out but it wont pass 0 on the boost guage. What can be wrong? My turbo is internally wastegated.

 

Exhaust leak
Charge piping leak
Restrictive intake
Running on 3 cyls (long shot)

 

No exhaust leak (new piping)
Charge piping Checked
No intake
All cyls. compression 175

Could it be that I need to adjust the wastegate rod?

 

check to see if your wastegate is stuck open

 

Do you actually hear or feel it boosting and maybe your boost guage just farted on you? If not, I'd check out the W.G. and vacuum lines etc. make sure the turbo isn't seized up for some odd reason.

 

haha that happened to me before, i only tightened 2 of the 4 bolts to the turbo -> manifold

 

WG open or boost gauge screwed

 

fix the wastegate... my c clip fell off one day and the arm came off then it felt like poop... no boost all the way home till i reconnected it then OH YES... BOOST BABY... fix your wastegate... its prolly stuck in the open position... if it was ur charge pipes it wouldn't even go to zero

 

if there was an exhaust leak b4 the turbo you would hear it. Unless there was a gaping hole in teh charge pipes you would have some amount of boost. I would put money on it being the WG or the gauge.
