the car only trapped 115? yeah, its not even making close to 467 hp. lol
chris's dyno is wacky, it reads high on some cars and low on others. perfect example is D16Y8-Z6's car going 124 with 279, or my red EK that made 282 on a 13G, my mach1 that made 588 and trapped only 116 on drag radials.
all bullshit aside how does that thing spool on the street, im gonna be building another vitara D and i was considering a 16g.

The 16g spool is alright, but I think it was max out at that point. Chris(Xeno) was it max out?

Re: My boy wil's vitara setup, almost new record w/pics
I have tuned a lot of low comp D motors lately, a couple Vitara setups, a couple other low comp JE or SRP Piston setups...and they all seem to be limited around the mid 300 to 400 whp on my dyno. I havent pin pointed anything specific, but I think its head limited. The variety of setups is such that I cant keep them straight when I think about each (who had which IM, who had which Turbo Mani, etc).
I really think with a well setup head, a PROPER valve job and a well "tuned" port job...500 whp on one of these vitara builds is doable on pump.
A lot of people come and say that they have a "Port and Polish" and I always ask "who did it?" and the answer is some local machinist. None of these guys study the D motor...they are lifers, gear heads, domestic enthusiasts...
I want to see someone with a Mike Belben head, RLZ, Endyn or Bisi...these guys KNOW the tricks that make these heads flow with a proper cam.
