My Boosted Deuce
Well I’ve had this thing boosting for about a year now, but finally decided to come out of the woodwork- here’s my setup
1986 Toyota MR2
3-Rib Bluetop 4AGE
365cc injectors
Modified Stock Manifold
Mitsu T25
DSM bov and modified DSM sidemount
For fuel management, AFM was opened up and the spring was tightened, leaning the 365’s out a little bit, played with it until the engine didn’t stumble anymore in any RPM range
Manually retarded timing at the dizzy
Was boosting 8psi, but recently turned it down a lil by shimming the wastegate to about 6psi.
Overall, it runs pretty good- I’ve got it now where I can tell I’m erring on the safe side(slightly rich) because when its dead cold it’s a tiny bit sluggish, but once I’ve driven it for a minute of two, its great. Also NEVER had any detonation, so I think retarding the timing was a good idea.

Rant: Lotus is a joke, back when my shop was a lotus dealer, customers would complain about water leaks inside the car...lotus says thats normal. :1
