how do you like those rods from tuner toys? I was thinking about buying them for my y8. figured I would ask someone with experience with them.

I have nothing but good to say about them. Vitara + TT Rods is the perfect budget combo IMO.

Dang 3 hours to notch a block... I did mine in under 10 minutes.

im lazy and this has probably already been asked, but how is that ching chong meow jackie chan turbo holding up? i am building the fastest, super crack head nignog deals setup every and i am considering trying one of those. it seems like in the last year i have heard of quite a few holding up compared to the last few years when they all blew within 3k miles

I can't imagine notching the block in the car. I hope you cleaned the ---- out of the bottom end before you put it back together O0

I have had two and they were both fine. Steathmode oil restrictor is a must. Baby them as well with a turbo timer, minimum 30 seconds. Use a real Filter (not a screen) and you should be fine. The granddaddy of all CDM ---- (SSAutocrome) is gone :)

For me doing it in the car took easily 6 hours the first time. The next time I did it in three on a friends car. Still have to post the writeup one of these days. By far its easier to do it out of the car.

SSauto still has their website, what do you mean gone?

Yea it only takes about 20 minutes or less to notch a block out of the car.
