Also a weld is only as good as the initial penetration. You can keep blobbing filler on but its not going to make the weld any better.

But seriously there's no way you can true a flange with any type of grinder or hand tool your just going to ---- it up and the flange is going to match your welds even more...

just bolt the ****** down. you're suppose to weld manifolds with the flange bolted to the head, for this reason

I'm not trying to repenetrate with that extra welding, the pipe is together, the problem is that it has leaks, so I put metal on top of them so the leak stops.

I have a grinder, I'm just too lazy to grind down my round 2 welds, but the round 3 welds won't be ground at all.

last night I took my manifold off and tried putting this one on, turns out the flange was supposed to go the opposite way I put it on, aint that some ----, I never read anywhere that the flange was directional, but it is, thanks alot for letting me know guys. I'll just drill out the holes and it will fit, it's just the 2 on the ends that don't match. so to get that ---- to work I take out the 2 studs on the ends and bolt the turbo down and when I go to weld that ---- isn't welding for anything, my extension cord=sucks so I'm going to buy a better one tomarrow and get that ---- done.

OMG your manifold is ------- butch as ----. Holy ----, I almost can't contain myself.

You suck at making manifolds. I'll post pictures of mine so you can point and laugh at me when the time comes, but untill then I get to make fun of you. :P

this is my first attempt at making manifolds so eat a dick. when it comes time for you to make your own manifold I hope I'm making manifolds to sell by then so you can buy one of mine since yours will be completly fucked.

Kyle: props on actually making your own manifold. a lot of people have thiers made or buy them. Way to be an HMT'er to the core.

thanks 45, at least somebody realizes that I'm doing ---- the hmt way instead of just going the easier, more expensive way and buying a pre-built manifold.

yo, kyle major props for building your own manifold. you sould'nt have to drill that much to correct the 2 misaligned holes. as for the warping part, i'd use 2 of those metal/sandwhiched paper gaskets, the kind that come with aftermarket headers and tighten that bitch down tight. BECAREFUL BOT TO BREAK A BOLT IN THE HEAD WHILE TIGHTENING DOWN THE MANIFOLD!!!!!!! the weld just need some grindind, but that's upto you. if i did welds like that i'd sport the manifold with the welds ungrinded and some high temp silver sprayed on it. keep up the great effort and don't let small crap like this slow you down.
