Re:Moving center section

2000svm bcs the WG's and the turbo are fitted to the car they came off of. which wasnt a honda.

anyways onto that snap ring. its a total bitch.

i use a big pair of needle nose plyiers and take it right off... look out its springy as hell. when putting it on stick the snap ring in the vice.

warning: if that thing hits you in the eyes dont blame me.

that turbo is off wrx which was installed in a totally different configuration. this is what you have to do. remove the clamp that holds the hot side to the center. take a mallet or hammer and tap all around the hot side to get it to slide off the center section. grind off the alighnment pin. reinstall the center section to where the feed line is pointing in the same direction as the turbine inlet. now your compressor needs to be rotated more than likely as well. go get the large size ring pliers from napa (don't get them from pep boys they suck and don't get the smaller ones from napa because they will get the ring out, but you will have a bitch of a time getting it back in). slide off the compressor housing and grind off the alignment pin as well and clean out the shavings. reinstall the housing in the direction you want and reinstall the snap ring.

oh yeah...and you will have to make a custom bracket to hold the wg actuator. i ended up being able to reattach the wg to one of the bolt holes in the compressor housing and then made a custom extension arm to attach the actuator to the wg.

Re:Moving center section

argh, more work! stupid wg actuator....

i just want the oil in/out in the right position.. obvious the hot side is going to the same cuz you mount on the manifold... and the cold side i just want it facing down so it won't hit the a/c fan... well we'll see when my correct turbo comes
