here are some pictures of my bad head gasket; i want you thoughts on my motor ;and why do you think it blew the headgasket;i was wondering why i had alot of pressure in my cooling system

 

How much boost were you running and how old is that head gasket?

nice job on the blown head gasket man, how mnay miles were on it

 

only 6psi; and i dont know; i bought the motor 6 months ago ;the guy said 30-60 thousand ;its a sohc zc; do those pistons look diffrent from a A6

 

Glad to see it's just the headgasket. It could have just been old. Otherwise maybe you just ran a little too lean

 

6psi.. what kind of management were u usin?

 

As for the pressure, it's either that the water was boiling or it was the exhaust gases seeping into your coolant system due to the blown headgasket.



How did you know the pressure increased?

 

WAIT ARE THOSE DENTS IN THE #2 cylinder? If so, you're pinging really ------- bad too.

 

thats one old mother ------ engine thats why it blew

 

management is GHETTODYNE; i knew there was a pressure increase when my car started over heating ;it was blowing coolant out of the overflow bottle ;what is funny there was no smoke coming out of my exhaust and the car ran fine;there are no dents in #2 piston there seems to be a bad valve guide on that cylinder
